Something doesn't add up. Should it not be a 73717 for a model number? It's a Feb build date?

I can't read for sure but it looks like 73517 or 73817, and neither would be correct. Am I blind or wrong???!!!

first 67 SD I've seen with a six, I've seen a few 66's but this is the first 67, interesting production number too-its a 736 vin so is that how many 736 vin two door hardtop SD's or just hardtops (I assume) interesting again that the A51 buckets made it Sports Option yet you could buy a 67 Custom with buckets

sorry I completely missed the feb build-yes something doesn't add up and yes the 736 does look like 738 or 735 also hmmm no SD after jan without a 396 which came standard with the 738 vin.

good one Carl-is this something Stan had ?

a human searched it-maybe a human errored

I recall George telling me that he once wrongly documented a 67 as an SD and it wasn't

this could be a simple error in the engine option rpo if its a 738 vin

Looks like 73517 to me.  That would be a custom six car and if ordered before The changeover could have been ordered with the A51 option.  I see what you mean though was built in Feb. Something is not adding up.

Yup, that don't work. We know that combo would have to be built before, what, 12th of December I think is the oldest one in the registry?

For sure.

If the build date is right, it's a Custom.

Carl, do you have the whole VIN?

If so, don't post it but contact me please.

Here is the link to the 738 bulliten change for those that want to reread it. I see that the A51 was only an option for the 738 cars. Bench seats were standard. I would then think that the A51 bucket seat option could be ordered on the custom six car but not become a SD.

Ian

If only that thing had a date on it!

Yes, no disputing the bucket seat cars on non SD models. It's just that A51 meant SD up until somewhere around early Dec and meant bucket seats after the switch to 738.

Thanks, I am pretty confident in saying that car is a Custom, not an SD. It was built well after the beginning of the 738 SD cars. I think George will have to backtrack on that one.
