NOT GOOD!!! I WOULD START WITH  COMPRESSION AND LEAK DOWN TESTS. DETERMINE WHERE THE PRESSURE IS GETTING INTO THE CRANKCASE.

WOW....sounds fatal!  Bet there is water in the oil and oil in the water.  It might be as simple as a blown head gasket but I am thinking it is much worse.  Pull the plugs and see if it pumps water out of the plug holes. If it does, then it is likely the head gasket is blown and maybe a cracked head.  Whether this is the problem or not.....your 194 is pretty much "a fish out of water".....my twocents.gif

ya`i will drain the oil and see how it looks,i`am thinking the head will have to come off, could the valve`s be toast? will the bottom end be fine,i think when it come`s to over heating it`s the top end that takes a shi*kicking..bleh

I would be leary of doing the top end only. That hot can crack a block. Also, chances are your rings have lost their tension too. You are likely best off to find someone pulling a 6 to do a V8 conversion and buy a known good running engine.

Sad reality but likely throwing money at your engine is a waste by the sound of how hot it got.

Kinda off topic, got any pics of your '62 wagon? I'd love to see some.
