It's absolutely an allen head set screw, just doubled checked. Wish I could help you with the size but I just have those loose allen wrenches that don't have sizes marked.

It used to be so easy to lie on the hump and look up under the dash to work. Now it's all way too close to see! I hate it.

All the guys who are 30 are reading this and laughing, just like I used to. It was never going to happen to me, I have such good eyes. Same pair of glasses since 1983 and I don't even have to wear them.

Sure enough, hit 45 and suddenly things started to get blurry under the dash and in dark places.....

Hey Carl I'm only 40 and I'm having those problems, can't see anything under the dash anymore, what's it going to like when I get old? Maybe I'll wire the dash before I put the floor in the next one.wink

My guess is your talking about a 67 Acadian or Nova but why don't you tell us and then I could have told you it was an allen screw.
As much as I like this site and the people on it, sometimes I really feel like the foreigner I am because everyone else seems to know not only where everyone lives but what cars they own.
When I read a post, all I see is the user I.D. and the number of posts.

Norm, I often assume the avatar is the member's car, or I check his profile to see what he has. That has bailed me out many times.

Sorry Norm,I have only added the computer to my" toolbox" and car social network recently,so I may not have the common sense or manners I should. And I have asked soooo many dumb questions already,I just figure you all must know me by now!! Probably good to mention it tho,I use Carl's method too, it works.
