Here we go again! His rear panel SD trim is painted black, some are white. Has anyone ever figured out for sure what is correct?  That car sure is sweet. I think it was advertised a while ago as well.

They were always black (imo)... some are bare aluminum now and people have left them that way... they were never white. Front fenders are missing the beaumont emblem (and there's cross flags on there!)

I notice about half of the 67's out there can't get the front fenders to line up to the rockers!! (see how the rocker trim is bent from the fender bowing out)... mine is like that too! and some of the cars out there line up nice! I don't get it!

ADD A COUPLE OF SHIMS BETWEEN THE RAD SUPPORT AND FRAME .
LIFTING THE FRONT OF THE FENDER UP WILL LET THE REAR GO BACK AND ALLOW
ROOM TO TWIST THAT SECTION IN AND STRAIGHT.

Damn, where was that advice 23 years ago when i assembled mine!hahaha! Interesting, I never thought about lifting the front of the fenders...makes total sense though!! I might give that a try to see what it does...but what will it do to gap alignment? interesting.... Thanks for the tip!!

Did you ever try adding a couple of shims between the rad support and frame?
I think it will lift, the front of the fender up, and will let the rear go back, and allow room, to twist that section in, and straight  ?

I've had several 67 SD's and they were both ways on them black or white or bare. One an original owner car showed traces of white only
