1970 Acadian

Can anybody tell me if the hood lip on a 70 Acadian is specific to a Acadian or is it the same as a Nova. I know the center emblem is different but will the Nova emblem bolt to the Acadian hood lip and vis-versa? Also, is a 70 turbo 350 transmission that is behind a 250 6 cyl the same as a V-8 turbo 350 and will it bolt up to a V-8 bell housing? Thanks, Paul.

Well I can tell you that the turbo 350 will bolt to 230 and 250 six and small blocks and big blocks.

So the spline count and specs are the same? I know the powerglides are different between the 6cyl and the V-8. They have different ratios. I wonder if the 6 cyl turbo 350's are built lighter?

Is the chrome leading edge on the hood the same on both. What about the internals of a 6cyl turbo 350 compared to the 8cyl?

Check this site out, good info on turbo 350's found below question and answer on this site.

QUESTION:

"What's the difference between a 6-cylinder
engine turbo 350 and an 8-cylinder engine turbo 350?"

ANSWER:

"Internal only.
The direct drum and the forward drum from an 8-cylinder model have shorter pistons in them, allowing an extra clutch plate each, spreading the wear over more clutch material, making it more heavy-duty. It is easy to make this upgrade."
