I think they call them hardtops with no window frame on the front doors even if theres no rear glass to go down-correct me if I'm wrong could be a post

That car for sale is known as a Sport Coupe, the version with out the louvers and long quarter window is a Colonade Hardtop I believe BUT they have been nicknamed as a Pillar and Post.

Hey, would it be any fun if there were only 1969 sd 396 cars ever built? I like diversity. &3 gto 1 year body style, I think makes it instant collectable status.  I get board and must move on every couple of years, Look now my 1st injected f body. Ugly, maybe to some people but who cares. I like your car Ray. My 2 cents.

Yes diversity is good and this car is unique and rare. I have a soft spot for these because of the wicked body contours .
Any car show and cruise night i go to i like to see and appreciate a clean well executed car.
We all invest time and money into are rides and im the first one to compliment and say nice job.

thanks for the education-actually if you look up most of these cars 2-door hardtop refered type cars they were known as "Sport Coupe" I guess its actually the 4-door hardtops that were marketed as hardtops

So this is actually not a modified post but a modified Sport Coupe

I like the odd ball stuff too-I often promote the idea of buying quality less than mainstream cars-but buy good ones because parts can be more costly for off the wall stuff

GM referred to many of those 1973+ A-body intermediates as "Colonnade Hardtops", really the frameless door glass of the traditional hardtop, plus a nice wide B-pillar to add strength for the proposed roll-over roof standards (they did not materialize).
