Found the mother load

I know this sound greedy but Im not going to give to many details until I negotiate my deal first! Sorry guys but I found my holy grail! I went to a place that me and my dad went to when I was 12 or so! I couldnt belive I still remembered how to get there so me and the wife are driving home from a family function and I talk her into a slight detour, so we go down the gravel road and shure enough there are still cars laying around I see a field of about a 50-75 cars and me and the wife drive up, first car that caught my eye was a 58 impella turns out to be really rough and a 4 door, next car infront of it is a 53 2dr chevy and beside it appears to be the back of a 62 impella sitting on blocks, so I go an check out the 53 pretty rough, I glance over at the 62 and its not on block its a FREAKING 62 IMPELLA GASSER PERIOD BUILT FORGOT ABOUT IN A FIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was almost shaking, straight axle!, 327 4sp!, cutlass rear end! black, on black!!!!!!!!!! its still solid because it is sitting up so high! it look like it was built in the early 60's! so I go up to the house ring the door bell and the owner comes out and said he's not really shure what all his father had back in the feild and is to busy to look today but is going to give me a price next week! man it must be destiany what are the chances of finding a vintage gasser? This place was awsome 50-60's pontiacs! cutlass wagons, chevells, caddy's I was in my happy place! As soon as I make the deal I will get some pics and maybe let out the location but Im not letting this one get away if I can help it!biggrin

AWESOME FOR YOU !!!

ohhh we will be waiting for pics!!!! good luck on the dealing, it's going to be a long week for you.

that's a cooler story , mine is slighty less Krass & Berine on how I got my 63 Acadian X-race car , 327 dual 4's etc.... but sorta similiar.....

pulled into a yard to look at 69 2 + 2 , turned out they just bought the place and the previous owner hadn't been back to pick up his car, it was 6 months already, and they were trying to clean up. There was a 69 2+2 hardtop, 69 Parisienne Convertible, 74 Tornada, then we walked to the other side of the yard, and there sitting by the garden in the open was the 63 Acadian......

I ended up traded a fist full of dollars for all the scrap iron in the yard, I cleaned up every piece of steel on the ground,,,that was the deal !!!! ( ol cars to the new owners where just that ...scrap )

again....good luck !! sometimes the stars line up.

Still no word Im going to have a sleepless week allready built the car 5 times in my head last night! LOL If I dont hear by saturday im loading up the trailer bringing a fist full of money and heading south! Im hopeing to pay no more then $2000 but we will see, it is going to be built and sold through the shop, I hope to make my way up to some high end builds, would really like to get into the high end specialty car market but its only a dream right now, but TINY'S was a dream for a long time and it came true with hard work. I have a couple of really close friends that i want to take this project on with I know with help the three of us will be able to build and sell some really cool sh*t. Todd the master part finding guy, and Andy my super talented greaser buddy sent ahead in time form 1960 to help me out!LOL

Congrats on the find, hope you'll be able to bring the car home.
Can't wait to hear more about this place. I figure if it's in this area i'd like to have a look around myself. Nothing that i'd be needing to buy but fun to be able to root around a yard that has some GOOD cars, not just the usual salvage yard fare! So you say it is south of you...hmmm...i'll keep watching for clues to the location!

You have my attention along with others. Pictures would be great and 65 sport deluxe Beaumont parts would be nicer. I do not need cars, just very select pieces. paulbudding@shaw.ca

So - south you say.

I did a little fly-over and found an interesting yard a little southeast of Springfield...

If it's not the one, it might be worth checking out anyway! Long drive for me!

Good luck with it.

A yard southeast of Springfield? I go through Springfield everyday, better than going through Aylmer! My drive is from St. Thomas to Tillsonburg. I hope to get the chance to look through a yard with decent cars, been a long time. I know they won't have anything for my Bird but it's fun to look. I remember when i was little and my dad would be looking for parts so we'd spend lots of time in the yards around Stratford. Also knew someone who had a farm and behind the barn he had some crashed 60's Chryslers.

Glad to hear it Tiny. I thought I knew where all the old cars were around here, but I'm happy someone found some more. Good luck and DON'T TELL ANYBODY until you have it strapped to the trailer where they are sitting. It's happened to me too many times and I've been scooped on some deals because I couldn't keep my trap shut.
