Saw this car at the Red Deer swap meet a couple weeks ago. Not sure if he still has it but a neat car, new paint, sounds tough, very clean

ya its a nice clean car . Pretty rare with the 4spd tach and console gauges, kinda wierd for sure with the 307 who would do that ??

Those are really awesome cars, Afriend of mine owns a 68 nova (sorry not an acadian) and he is usually the only 68 at all car shows we go to. We did a full nut and bolt resto on this car and he drives it everywhere. It is a 350ci,4spd,buckets console car and that is the original color combination as we had spoken with the original owner.

Is it possible the SS350 was a mid year introduction ? This car has an October '67 build date so it is realatively early.

With N10 dual exhaust that Econoflame 307 would be closer to 230 HP, my engine chart says 68 Astro Econoflame 350 had 295 HP in the SS.

Wow, I never noticed that. I had never heard of it either.

I see no engine option so I assume that is how you are arriving at it being a 307 from the factory?

Also, I don't think I've ever seen a 307 4 speed anything before.

Carl, there is no RPO code for the engine listed but in the documentation, the whiter document,  it shows the 307.  As far as dual exhausts go Pontiac was pretty liberal with that, as long as you knew to check box N10 you could usually get them, engine charts generally had a notation to add 15% for dual exhausts. I'll agree that seeing this 307with N10 option is very unusual as it the M20, well look at all the options, someone who knew what they were doing ordered this one.

Putting it all together, 307, duals, 4 speed, 3.55 rear end, gauges and AIR delete, this baby was meant to move out and I'll bet it did.

up at the top it says 307 2bbl  V8     looks like they "loaded it up" and forgot to upgrade the engine  from the base v8

that would be my guess. Order the smallest v8 and then big block it.
