Welcome to the site. nice to see a car that was thought did not exist. Model 8441 confirms it. Thanks for those pics. Is there a way to find a built date on those early cars ?

Man oh man. Never say never.....

Do you have the GM documents? I'd love to hear what GM has to say about your car.

Carl there looks to be a grease pencil mark (circle with a 1 ) under the vin tag.

Could be how many they made.......!

I hope to have some time tonight to check for the trim pieces in the parts book. I've never spent a lot of time looking at 62 listings but it appears it's time to.

Could that possibly be the normal   "Rx" we often see on the firewall in that spot? It really doesn't look quite like it, but it's a bit hard to see.

Can you imagine how hard it would be to find one of those emblems. I love the way they put a space between the E and L in Deluxe to emphasize the word. De  Luxe. Very cool.

Here is some pics of my early edition 62 acadian parts catalog.
It only covers 1962 acadians.

It is dated October 1961

There is NO mention of the "deluxe" nor is there any pics of it and the trim

Now for the million dollar question:
Had they stopped making it before Oct 1961?
Or had they not started making it until after this book was published?

We need vin or production date on this car!!!!!biggrin

Or it came out after October 61 Dave...

GM docs will be very very interesting, to say the least.

Is that double side spear unique also? Where is this car from? That's got to be one of the rarest models on here.

It has the two tone steering wheel just like it says in the brochure. Did any other 62 models come with the two tone wheel ? What do the deluxe door handles look like ?

It's a specific series number - would GM Canada be able to say how many were produced?

Very nice car by the way!
