Good eye Carl. Took me a sec to recognize my old stomping grounds. Makes me wonder if the dealership next door is the GM store there now, they were Pontiac/Buick?GMC. I'm guessing they are since the Chev dealer closed up a while back.

Today I stepped into the "STEPHENZONE" and if I thought he was a great guy via email, it was more than confirmed with our face to face meeting. I told Steve back in February that I had a roof frame for a convertible complete with hydraulic lines, the pump and cylinders and if HE thought it was worth $50.00 to him and wanted to come and get it whenever, then he was more than welcome to it! So he came up today to get it and as he was about to hand me the money for it at A&W I told him, "Buy us lunch outta that and I'll keep whatever's left over." So then the guy hands me a $20.00 bill back along with the change from the meal so now we're at $40.00. That wasn't good enough in MY opinion, so I handed him back $10.00 and told him that was good enough. We had a bite to eat and shot the breeze after him perusing my property and toy collection and JUNK and then he was on his way again. Great day fellas, great day! And Carl427 I told him we were 33 miles from you but I didn't know if you'd be at home or at yer trailer but I didn't know if he really had time for the extra mileage or not. We WILL ALL get together at some point some day boys! Thanks a million for coming up today Steve. Had a blast! And thanks for the Smiley Face Ball with the Cowboy Hat ya gave me for my antenna! What a laugh buddy!
And Johnathan, thanks for the comments on my truck. I love it too pally!!

Had a great day hanging with Frank. he said even if i didn't think it was worth the 50 it was still leaving in my truck. but a deal is a deal and i've never turned down the offer of a burger. on a second note the 2 old girls did look sharp sitting in front of the Dub

Carl. you will never know where the blue beast will show up or for that matter Brian and the hauler, said he was on his way to ottawa and montreal.

Sounds like a great day for everyone. I used to work at the GM dealer next door (Stratford Motor Products). I was stupid to quit- it was the best dealership I ever worked at and John the owner was a huge car guy . Stratford was a great town to work in.

Can you refresh my memory, does he haul long distance (i.e. prairies?) or is he just more local?

As he sings, "C'mon MaryAnne, C'mon MaryAnne"!! She could ride shotgun in my old truck ANY day fellas! SIGH! Hey Todd, I wish you still worked at SMP too! I take the missussussussses car in there whenever needed and it would be great to shoot the breeze with you in person. Thanks again Steve for making it a great day! Ya can't beat an "Arrive & Wait" burger, old vehicles and fantastic conversations and reminiscing about the old days. What a blast and a half!
