just picked up a 1957 pontiac laurentien 4 door hard top last fall, i tossed out the siezed 283 speed and put in a 350 4 speed over the winter. just got to a couple of cruise nights so far. still lot of things to do on the car like gas guage, speedo not working, clutch acting up etc etc etc etc.....

Hey Hank, Welcome aboard, as most of us here will say" where's the pictures"??  Glad you got the car mobile & are enjoying it. Those other things take time, so do them as you go & keep on driving it. That's what it's all about & the folks here will help you out as well as have a laugh or two along the way biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Welcome!  Hey what did you do with the ole 283?  Those things are worth saving if there's anything left.  The Pontiac stamped valve covers for that era are highly coveted (even if they don't fit past the last fifties heads)  I'm note sure of the exact year.

My Brother is working on a 56 laurention 4 door hardtop so like kindred man!
