I inserted the photos, not to upstage Carl but because I wanted to see them better. Great looking cars and welcome.

Well it is nice that we added another 73-77 A Body guy, that makes about 6 of us!

76GLM you will need to see the car I posted tonight on the "Queensway thread", 4 speed 1973 Grand Am !!

Thank's for up sizing the picture's. I've been into the Pontiac A-Bodies since the mid 80's when I bought my first car a '77 Grand Lemans 2dr. Wish I had kept her, although I don't miss the under powered 305. The 455's seem to move these car's with great ease. Alway's looking forward to talking to other '73-'77 A-Body owner's. I love all Pontiac's, my favorite Pontiac of all time is the '64 Grand Prix, one day I'd like to own one. Pontiac's rule, even if they don't built them anymore!!

I think the 305 was no so much underpowered as the LeMans was too heavy for the engine. wink I once drove a 305 77 4dr. Sedan as a courtesy car back in the day when ours was in and recall kicking it pretty hard to get it to move the way i wanted. On the other hand the 305 in my Monte Carlo SS would stand down most cars of its era. 'Two 73 sport coupes and one 76 Grand LeMans have passed through my hands. Learned to drive on a 73.

I have or had One '73 Grand Am, one '74 Grand Am, 4 '75 Grand Am's, 2 '76 LSC's, 2 '76 GLM's, '77 Can Am and 2 '77 GLM's. Motor's ranging from the 305 to the 455. All my A-Bodies have been Pontiac's. There is a '74 Cutlass and a '76 Malibu in lime green both low mile's and 2dr's close to home I'd like to check them out. Both are jump in and drive car's, the lime green Malibu is cool looking. I had a teacher in elementry school that had one new. Dating myself aren't I?

I learned to drive on a '73, I got you covered by a good margin.

I had a 77 LeMans Sport Coupe. Other than the limitation of the inadequate 305 2 bbl, it was a great riding and handling car. Plus it had working A/C (of course it was only 6 years old when I had it). I would love to own a 73 455 Grand Am coupe like the red one in Ray's picture from the Canadian tire show.

Believe it or not but the paint on the White Grand Am is 20 year's old. I use to take it to car's in the US, been all the way to New Mexico in it. Done Route 66, well four states of Route 66 in that car. One of the hardest thing's to find for the car was the original dealer name that was attached to the trunk. Found one in a salvage yard, the dealer no longer exist's. It closed down about a year or two after I bought the car. And thank's for the positive comment's. Car has been sitting about 4 year's now, should really drive it but work and other thing's seem to get in the way!!

Robert; Nice cars and quite a collection. I really like that white Grand Am you have. It was good talking to you at the Surrey Pontiac Show. Good to see you on the site. If you ever get around to doing something with the sedan, post pictures of the progress.
