60's sbc stamp decode

can anyone tell me how to decode the block stamp #s?
the first one is casting # 3849852 which i think is 62-64 283, the stamp on the block deck is 805493226

the second one is stamped 786515487, not sure of casting # on it from a 65 chevelle

are the engine stamps just partial vin #s?

I've blabbed here before about these early Canadian stampings and again there are numerical Canadian suffixes contained in the information above..

It's the '80' that identifies the original configuration of this specific engine and I'd have to check the old book I have to confirm the below but...

Suffix = 80

283 / 2-Bbl / 195 Hp
1965 only
Applications = Canadian built Acadians, Chevy 2s, Beaumonts, Chevelles, Full Size Chevrolet and Canadian Pontiacs

The info I posted above is for the unique Canadian block stampings, not casting #'s..
There's little out there on these and the old book I have is not complete but the only info I've ever seen on them?.
