Wow! a real rare find!

I was surfing tonight, and came across a real(with paperwork) 69 L89 4 gear 12 bolt camaro ss rag top by Berger! Driveline is long gone, but has paper and the original Berger emblems. Car is orange on black,  With a functional cowl hood( Berger option) It's under 10 g's right now. Serious project, but one of 7. I need to figure out how to post links.biggrin

Copy the title from the address bar of the page you want to link to.

Open a reply window or start a new topic window

Type the works you want in text box. Like CLICK HERE or whatever..........

Highlight the words by rolling your mouse pointer over them.

Above the text box you are typing in where all the symbols are you will see a chain link directly under the U . It will not be coloured or accessible until you highlight the words.

Click on the chain link which will open another window.

Paste the link you copied into the Link URL box.

Select open link in same window or open link in new window.

Click on Insert and you should be all set.

I don't know much about Camaros, but it seems strange (to me) that a 396ss would have a 10 bolt rear end. Is that standard?

Looks like there's a lot of rust hiding under there.

It'd be a terrific car once it's been rebuilt, but someone has some work ahead of them.

There's a recent thread on that car over at the Yenko site..
Nothing's real enough to substantiate the L89..

 Should be a 12 bolt but he explains;

A 10 BOLT WAS INSTALLED FOR ROLLING PURPOSES YEARS AGO AFTER REAREND BLEW UP THE DRIVETRAIN.

How about this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-CHEVELLE-SS-396-L78-L89-/320582340080?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4aa4324df0

It's a 300 deluxe hardtop L89, very likely 1 of 1. What did this finally go for Pete, $85G?
