78 Parisienne with 250 straight six

Saw this on kijiji last night.  Looks like a nice car, but I don't know if the value of these has climbed enough for it to be worth $5K yet (?).  Certainly a curiosity for a top of the line Parisienne to have the six in it in the late seventies.  I can't recall ever seeing one of these without at least a 267 V8 in it.  Gotta say it makes me feel old to see antique plates on a '78!

I learned to drive in an '81 Parisienne with the 267 in Dec 1980/Jan 81.  I'll always have fond memories of that one.  I recall that it had a great balance of ride and handling for the time... it was just a lovely car to drive.

Looks like a nice one for somebody... dunno what it would be like with the 6, though.

Well that's a new one on me??? Never thought they built that with a 6 cyl. Oh Well live & learn, nice car, sure would be different at a car show with hood up on that one!!! Head Scratcher or what????

I know of a couple of Belairs and Impalas of that era with 6 bangers but I've sure never seen one in a Parisienne before either.

Later in the run a Buick V6 became the standard engine. Wife's uncle had a '86 Parisienne Brougham, fairly loaded car with a V6. It was slow but it went for over 400,000 km. It was just retired about two years ago when it was rear ended.

This car brings back great memories.  My first car was a 1979 Parisienne with a 305.

It was awesome as a 16 year old in high school!

I love it!!! Especially since it is "green". I had a 79 Parisienne like this but mine was burgandy with the 305. I did own a '78 Impala that was the same colour as this one though. Brings back memories.... Blown away at the fact that it is an "inline" 6 as well.
