Just a heads up that Canadian Tire is having a Birthday sale this weekend. Each flyer has a scratch card you give to the cashier at the time of purchase with a chance to win prizes or discounts. I picked up a nice rechargable LED trouble light (which also has a handy magnet mount and front facing lamp) for $8.49, regular $24.99. I scratched and won another 5 bucks off! Good deal. I also found a set of Mastercraft adjustable wrenches for $11.99 reg $54.99. I found another flyer in the store and my wife rang those in separately and got another 5 bucks off.

Well worth the trip!

Great deal on an inverter for the lighter socket too. We use it in the car for my wife's heating pad when we travel. Seems to me it's 29.95 regular and the sale was under 8 bucks.

I got $17 in CT money. I was going to buy a set of SE tires that were on sale last week for $74.99 any size for the Roadmaster. Kinda left scratching my head after they told me all the other charges per tire were.

Great trouble lights. I picked one up too. Love the magnet on it. It stays where you put it. LED lights are easy on the battery too.

Friend of mine just got his 77 Monty from the train yard in Markham [came in from BC] car safetied with out a "glitch" other than tires.[they were so cracked] He got 4 Radials from "Cambodian Tire" at a great price but said white walls are "almost" impossible to buy now??? They had 7 in stock & gave him a good deal to get rid of 4 of them. Monty has 35000 on it, a "VIRGIN" if I ever saw one. 85 yr. old man bought it new,son sold it to Murray as his dad lost his Lic. Totally "untouched car" 350 4bbl. A/C, cruise, windows, tilt etc. everything works, except the driver!!!! He's "retired too"

I have found that Canadian tire is impossible to beat on tire prices.

I needed narrow whitewalls for my Cadillac Deville, Michelins as well were the only ones making them now. I called around the big city for a week and CTC was at $164 a tire, next closest I could get was $186. I went over at lunch. paid for them and next day they arrived from "the warehouse".

If you watch they clear out end of lines all the time, at the store near my office they have a big rack in the automotive section witht tires all there and the prices are about 80% off regular. You might not find sets but pairs are usually pretty easy to get.
