I made it. on Rusty's computor. Made it on 3 tanks of gas!! Filled up in Port Perry,2nd tank was at Dunkirk NY, 3rd was at the West Virginia state line. Best I've ever done in the 64, usually 4 to 5 tanks, still have over a 1/4 tank when I got here at 1:18pm. left at 2 am & had to take a Power nap south of Erie Penn. on I 79. Going to Casino tonight for cruise in & chance for $ 1000 cash draw. Doo wop show starts tomorrow. It's my grandaughters B/day this wknd & wifes as well had to leave the camera for her, hope Rusty will take some pics & send them back for me. I'm in enough trouble, not being home for those 2 occassions!!!! But a CAR GUY has to do what MUST ME DONE!!! Right? Right??? HELP me here guys

Pete, It's an epic trip and I get it, but steps must be taken on the damage control side.   Buy her something in gold -- 14 karat and no less.   And buy wise -- find a pawn shop.  Great value.  Only make sure that what you buy is not engraved already with another woman's name.  That would be bad.

And for Christmas check out www.topazery.com.  Based in Atlanta.  Good stuff with papers.  Never buy new...it's a waste of money.  This is where the value is.

OK got the present thing covered!!! I'm still in W.V. leaving Tues. am. Show was terrific 971 cars & trucks registered, only 4 full sized Poncho's there, 61 Bonniville rag top, 60 2dr. post. 389 tri power, Catalina & 62 Catalina 2 dr.htp 4 spd wth dual quads & of course my 64 Catalina!!  Have a ton of pics. on the chip to download on arrival. Also had problems with my trunk t/bars, didn't break, but one poped of the hinge hook & put the lid on a "funny" angle, so I had to "drop" both the bars at the show to get trunk to close. It now takes "great" effort to open it & have a prop to hold it open [this could be "fun" at customs] have 4 "torque thrust "D" wheels, lock nuts, fan shroud for 64,electronic welders helmut from "Harbourview"!!!!  leaving the "beer" cooler behind & Rusty will bring it up on his next trip to Canada. I "may" have won the "long distance" prize $ 500 US group that does the pay out said they would "google" the postal code but they thought I had it it "in the Bag" That's it for now, taking it easy today as I caught a bad cold down here even though it's 85F, colours are almost at their peak, should be good tomorrow on trip home    Pete

I'm home with the "stinking" cold!!! Had a great trip home, 10 1/2 hrs only stopping for gas & washroom pit stops. Colours were un believable thru W.V. & Penn. Will download pictures as soon as I feel up to it,cold is a BAD one!!! Came thru customs without a hitch, declared everything, at reduced values, & they said "have a nice trip home" hammer down onto the QEW!!!!!!

Good for you Pete.  The fun with these cars is to drive them.  I'll have to check but I think you have me beat by quite a few.  Portland was my longest hike at a little over 500 miles one way and I was curious to see how far some others had come as it wasn't a large show.  Well there were a couple cars that had come 3000 miles so  they had definetely gone the scenic route.   Great prize for you though.  I won the 50-50 in Portland for 160 so it adds to the fun.
