You won't be able to use the sedan windshield in a hardtop.

Chevy II and Acadian had 2 windshields. 2 door hardtop was one number, 4 door sedan, 2 door sedan and station wagon was a different number.

I don't know the answer to the seat question. I know it was discussed here a while back but I can't recall what the solution is.

I've heard it is close to a 2" difference between the two windshields. Since I haven't tried or seen this in person, it would be interesting to measure.

strange  ???? ( talking  about the  windshield ) i am  surprised to hear  there is a difference between   an acadian  and  a chev.  It seems to be  the same body  ????  possibly  they  dont  share the same  windshield angle  ????

can anyone   tell  us more about this  issue

Not a difference between Acadian and Chev.  The difference is between a 2drHT & 4dr (wagon).

No, the side glass is taller on sedans and wagons. The hardtops actually look a bit "chopped" if you compare side photos.

A friend is building a 2 door hardtop/wagon so I learned all about this a couple of years ago. I never realized it before that.

Rear seats from 2 & 4dr sedans will fit in a hardtop.  The difference is in the angle of the front corners.  The 4 dr & wagon rear seats have cut or rounded corners to ease entry and exit.  The Hartop , conv. and 2dr sedan rear seats are cut square on the front corners because there is no entry issue and they lay right up along the inside rear panel.

The rear seat in a 67 hardtop is unique --- the sedan seat will not even clip in place --- it's a different shape --- I believe that forespeed is referring to the interchange on a 62-65 car -- they will fit on those, except for the rounded corners -- Menno
