1969 Biscayne 396 4 speed Hamilton Ontario

Wow! At first glance it looks like the 427 4 speed one owner Biscayne from Hamilton. What are the odds of there being 2 big block green 4 speed Biscaynes in that area?!?

I don't think it's an original with a saginaw transmission and a 10 bolt, but 2 door posts are hard to find, and it would make a good 427 car.

No doubt it was converted to 396 4 speed but with the parts that go with it someone could complete the transformation to a full on Bb car.

I have to laugh nowadays at how much everyone just would love to have a 2 door post vehicle! When I was a teenager, NOBODY wanted these cars because they had the post. As I've said in previous postings, if it was a 4-door car, 2-door post and ESPECIALLY """GREEN""" it became a parts car right away; and if not, then sooner! Hey Carl, is there not a Biscayne 2-door post in Clinton? I'm thinking maybe around a '66? Used to be parked right across from the Zip Car Wash
all the time a few years back? The particular car above being offered still doesn't do anything for me and I agree with Carl I'd rather have a Strato Chief or Laurentian 2-door post any day. Especially CARL'S! LOL!

Good memory!!   It belonged to my neighbor ... It was a 6 cyl with enhanced 427 auto

He still works at Clinton Auto parts across from car wash..  He lives on my street....

I was always afraid to ask what he wanted for it, as I expected it to be expensive....  He sold it for 10,000  and that fellow sold it for 15,000, and the fellow in Goderich, sold it to Jack in Stratford for 18000...  Jack made it a clone of his earlier race car  "Jack in the Green Stock"  He then but a 15000 502 in it

I like it too and first thought is w/ a '70 parts car it'd sure make a nice one of none '70 Post!.
Barry, you see this yet?.

Tin Injun's right on w/ his note about everyone climbing onto the post car wagon now!.
I've always been a post car lover and owner but have noticed the surge in appreciation for post cars in recent years and have been saying these same words to a few of my car pals too!.

And yep, Jack Hyde's 'Jack & the Green Stock' Post was a '66..
Here's a pic below I think I posted here a few months back?.

Yes sir, I have seen it.  I'm currently about to buy a 69 Bel Air out of Arizona as a sheet metal donor for my Biscayne. I'm also looking at 69 Bel Air in Maine. Both of these cars together are less than the asking price for this one.smile

Barry... is the 69 coming from Arizona ...Tom's ? If so, it would make an excellent donor. I also considered it too, as a project itself. ( If it is , some of the parts , if included , came from my 69 BelAir post that I parted this summer) . I know other parts he was sourcing came from a CA car .

I'm not sure , but isn't the Saginaw 4spd. a little "weak" for the B/Block?? I remember a guy here in town with a 68 Beaumont with a 396 in it & one of those trannys, grenadaded it all over the main street on 1st. to 2nd. power shift at about 5500 rpm.!!! That was a few yrs. ago, he took the Beaumont to Tennesse & sold it there for large $$$ Then bought 3 or 4 more & sold them down there as well. The Americans were buying them like crazy as they weren't available there.

The 69 Bel Air in Maine looks pretty good. I'd be interested in it if I wasn't already into my 68.

Another nice car closer to home was a blue 69 Biscayne 2 dr post from Florida that was for sale down around Trenton Ontario back in June. I looked at it. It was rust free and straight, but a real stripper - the only options it had were automatic and tinted glass. Not even a front sway bar. It had four new tires and set of Corvette rallies. All for $5k. But that was the week I bought the 73 Camaro so I passed on it. It seemed to have sold within a week after that.

John, I drove down last Monday to have a look. Not as nice as I hoped, but still good.
I still think his price is too high.hmm

Are you talking about the Bel Air in Maine?
Yes it does seem from the pics that it needs a significant bit of work for the price.
