RD is the code for 300/327 4 speed Corvette on the site I found it at.
PM'd you about the fitment but yes, identical to an auto trans engine for the interchange part.
If it still has a pilot bushing in the back of the crankshaft for the transmission input shaft, make sure you remove that before you install it in front of an automatic because the bushing may interfere with the torque converter on the trans.

There's a '63 Coupe w/ that Vin that exisits today and is owned by a NCRS member!. I emailed him a link to this thread so hopefully we'll see a happy 'Vette owner appear here soon?.
May be best to not alter or remove anything from the engine until things are confirmed?. If the real-deal from this guy's car hopefully he'd be happy to make something more attractive happen for an engine for your car than using this one?.
Which Carl here had the 'Vette engine of a similar vintage here a year or two back and what became of it?.

I was able to talk to the third owner (G. Murray Lawton, Lagoon City, Ontario, Canada) back in 2006. He restored my car back in the 1980s. He told me that the engine block was cracked when he got the car and replaced it with another original engine block during his restoration process. When I restored the car again in 2004/2005, we found that the engine block was cracked and repaired very badly. We found another original engine block locally near Omaha, NE. and restamped the pad with the VIN and RF for the L84. I assumed that the car was always an L84 engine car but I suppose it's possible that it wasn't. I suppose that owners #1 & #2 could have done some work on the car from 1963 until the 1980s too to make it an L84. Is it possible that the engine block that you have never belonged to my car? Is there any evidence that the block is cracked now? I'm trying to figure out why a new 327 block was put in to the car if there is nothing wrong with the original one even to make it a L84 car.

I did note the L84 thing but thought it best to let you respond first.. L84 out the window or not it's certainly worth investigating further!. Especialy looking at the included part #'s as depending on dates they appear correct too and obviously worth $ on their own!.
'Vette engines seem to go astray for a variety of reasons including worst cases like theft, insurance or other frauds (not suggesting this one is either of these) or even simple replacement for another engine then left behind w/ the tech who maybe wanted it in the first place?.
Great your car's past included Canada!. Did you get your delivering dealer info recently?.
Coolest thing to note here may be how the General stamping original parts created these ultimate car guy puzzles!.

There was no VIN stamped on the front pad....just the 0515RD
In 40 years and over 100 different hobby cars, I have NEVER had a engine with the vin on it... hmmm

Castings and dates correct w/ original broach and RD stamping is sure worth something to a 'Vette guy!. You'd think all 'Vette owners would rather have a correct engine like this left unstamped in their car than a so called 'restoration engine' (which is basically a restamped perfect forgery) but some guys seem to like the #'s more than true originality?.
