Rear Diff ??


Would a 69 Camero 12 bolt posi fit my 67 Acadian?Also the dumb question.Is the Acadian concidered a A body or X body?

the acadian is not an A body, Abodys are the beaumons and chevelles, the body type is the same as a nova/ chevy2 (not sue what the code is)
and it is never a dumb question

Mr neighbor ran a 68 Impala 12 bolt in his 67 Chevy II   (with Toro wheels for correct offset. Then he bought a narrowed 12 bolt    

the Camaro rear end is 1 inch wider (on each side)   It can be done    yes it can.   no really it can

You can use an S10 rear they are narrow, look for one that had a 4 cyl / manual trans usually 3.73 gears!

I have seen this done and as mentioned, it's on the wide side. You will have trouble finding wheels to make it work properly. If you have a diff like that, sell it (big bucks) and put  that towards an original Nova 12 bolt, get one built, or buy a Moser unit the correct size.

My two cents...

Why not chop axle tubes and order shorter axles? Cheaper than having one built. Easy to do as well.
