Part wanted/1965 Beaumont/Chevelle

I am in need of a hood for my '65 Chevelle, no rust issues and within driving distance of Owen Sound. Anyone have one for sale?

I just sold a 64 mint hood for $150 bucks. Seems the 65s are harder to find

Not to put a damper on Kelly's sale but the hood lip on a 65 Beaumont will not work well with the 65 chevelle trim. I have seen it done and it looks like ****. You can go the other way with a chevelle hood on a Beaumont but the trim also doesn't fit right but it's not as bad. There is a 65 chevelle hood on my 65 Beaumont 4 door so I have seen how it fits and wouldn't personally go that way either. Just thought the info would help because shipping this stuff is $$$$.

I`m told the front of the fenders where the trim sits is also not the same .

Kevin I guess the same issues as the bezels for a 66 vs. a 67 Nova (Acadians used the 66 bezels for both years). GM did a lot of things for those 2 years to both models, Beaumonts and Acadians. Darn general!

I`m picking up an NOS 65 Chevelle front fender Saturday so I`ll see how the Beaumont trim fits

I have made this work and it's not as bad as the hoods but after the fit and finish on the Blue SD rag I probably won't do it again. It's a pain in the ***. Make sure you fit all your grill parts very carefully before final paint if you go this route.
