Picked these up today becuase they looked unique. I bet their a reproduction but I've never come across them before. I've seen the Acadian dealer lighters before but this was new to me. Are these common or did I find something here?
"We used to be known as "EUROPEAN CAR ACCESSORIES" which was started in Germany (1957) and established in California in the mid 60's. To cut this story short, we lost the business in a fire in 1985 that destroyed a whole shopping center with 18 stores. Our lease was up and we had already transferred the insurance to our new location (Murphy' Law). Whatever was left in separate storage or on the way at the time from Europe was put in storage and we did not touch it until about 7 years ago. After the fire we started a General Maintenance Business and are working for a Management Company for the past 18 years. So sometimes we might be out on an emergency and it might take a day or two before we can answer you emails."
I wonder what else "Acadian" survived? Probably the only Canadian Poncho item they ever sold.
Could be older stock. The hardware store here in town has been around for 100 years. There's some old keychains for sale there. I should have a look. They even still have old GM keyblanks!
