I know it's a Nova but if any of you are working on a 66-67 Acadian, you may find this helpful. This guy pulled the 283 out of his 66 Nova SS, very clean original 4 speed California car. He rebuilt the engine and installed factory A/C, taking a ton of photos in the process.
