Ricer aren't my thing. But some of them are pretty sweet. dualquadpete you are right that we didn't put on big hoops but we did add a lot of HP and tried to stop with 4 wheel drum brakes. Lets just be glad they are in to cars it's a hobby and they put a lot of money and time into there cars just like we do.

There's a young kid at work (about 20) who is obsessed with Honda Civics. He doesn't "rice them" (no wings, fart cans etc) but he does get a ton of horsepower out of them. He was showing me his ECU "remapping" software. These kids basically reprogram each "cell" of the software program to meet their needs (eg: turbos etc). They can reprogram all the inputs (MAF, MAP, TPS etc etc). It's amazing. They can even program an anti-theft system (eg: press the gas pedal 3 times and tap the brakes once to allow to start). This kid is going to go far as a tech. I keep telling him he should be playing with new Camaro's, Challengers and Mustangs and their ECU'S!
And to follow up on what Todd said, we were talking to the Tuner's too and they told us te exact same thing, it's all in the programming and these kids understand all that, they can basically change anything that the factory has set.
The first photo in this series is a Lincoln Flathead V12 which I thought was pretty darn cool. The Chrysler engine is actually a current spec NASCAR Dodge engine with fuel injection.

YEAH!!! Carburators, distributors,& no computors!!!! Thats what I understand. I have a hard enough time just using this thing,let alone try & program a cars system. I guess I'm just an "old fart" that doesn't understand this new Tecno world
