The 72 Chevelle in my Avatar was my wife's uncle Buck's car and this link has the story . The car sold on BJ a couple years ago, I taped the whole auction but when this Canadian racers car came up for sale , they went to advertisement and it sold under the radar and for 60 g's I think it was. The matching car to this one was a 70 Chevelle one and only as well and being a US racer , sold for over 400 g's.

thanks Mike ! I wish I woulda got a ride in that thing. I have a video I will post someday of that car doing it in Calgary in the 90's . He won the track record that day, beat out the Lee Bros 426 Hemi Cuda that day... they were NOT happy !

yes that was Allan and Dwight's 70 Cuda. They actually beat out the Chevelle for the track record that day but were disqualified for some cooling tubes they put on the heads. They were both running in a stock class

ACTUALLY ELROY, I WAS REFERING TO THE 1970 CHEVELLE THAT SOLD FOR $400,000. I THOUGHT I HAD HEARD THAT THE GUY THAT BOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO CONVERT IT BACK TO A STREET CAR. AS FAR AS THE LEE BROTHERS GO(WHAT???...COOLING TUBES ON A HEMI HEAD AREN'T STOCK?!!! LOLwink), DO YOU KNOW IF ALL THEIR STUFF GOT SOLD OFF WHEN THEY CLOSED?
