WAS  my car ,, up until 6 weeks ago,, sold it with steelies on the back and skinny Vintage Torq Thrusts up front.   SOLD FOR $6700 !

The new owner put matching rallies and taxi caps on it ,  really does it no justice,,MY OPINION !

read the ad ,, I'm a little disappointed that he's trying to flip it, but whatever,,,like the other thread reads,,," What is your price , or is it never for sale ! " I guess mine was $6700...

He values it at 8 - 12 G   depending on who you are ???  WTF ???

He has done nothing to it , other than change the wheels, and ad the 'period correct' signal lights???,,,,Good Luck I say to him...

I've had some lessons like that too I'm afraid. One car I sold he had "wanted forever and it's never for sale" was gone in less than a year. Now when I sell something I tell myself it's not mine any more and whatever happens, happens.

I feel bad for you Rog.  It sucks for you...

thanks Carl,, it's OK,, no need to feel sad, I made a decesion to sell it , didn't need to , just decided on day to test the waters, and if it went ,,it went. I knew the buyer was known to be a flipper,, he did convince me that he wasn't going to flip my 57 ....but once the deal is done ...it's done! It's not mine to worry about?

The 55 chevy I have is solid, will take far less labour and money to bring it up to speed.....so that was my decision.

I DO miss the 4 gear however......

it will be interesting to see if there is money out there??

1957 Pontiac 2 Door Hardtop,Small block 4 speed,3:70 Rear gear,Very old skool Gasser look,Runs and drives great for a car of this age,Signals Tailights,E brake,Heater,Wipers work[As good as expected of Vacuum wipers]Several options with wheel and tire combination to chose from,,Torque thrust fronts with steelies on the rear,Vette wheels with Chrome button cap,[As shown]Satin Centerlines with skinny fronts and fatty rears,I am just seeing if there is "SERIOUS" interest in the car.Understand this car is not a show car ,Body is good with no rust but could use some attention,Interior is dated but could be repaired inexpensively.Power train runs solid,Stick it to the floor in first gear and it picks the nose up big time[Not a slug power wise]I am not sure 100 percent if i am wanting to sell it.I am finding i may not have the time to commit to this car i thought i would have when i recently first purchased it.I have big plans of re sprayin the body with Satin white and Metalflake Red roof[Very old s"kool look]Touching the interior up a bit[I love the crushed velvet Trippy early 70's look, just my opinion].I may entertain a trades on a 30's Hotrod[Running and driving],Possible a muscle car or other cool interetsing Hotrods!I also would consider a trade for a vehicle that i can use for my employment,Example:Nice Ford fusion,[Full load]New Body style Chrysler 300,[Full Load]Magnum,[Full Load]Charger,[Full Load]Mid 90,S Impala SS,Not interested in anything newer in an impala,.I value this car between 8 and 12 Grand depending on who you are that could be debatable.Only serious Educated inquire.I would feel it could be difficult to find a running and driving Tri 5, ShoeBox,Gm that would be in this price range.Feel free to phone 1-306-384-1236 if you have any questions and you are not just tire kicking or email your contact information to this add by responding and i will respond at my earliest convenience. Thanks for having a look!!"SPRING IS COMING".DISRESPECTFUL EMAILS ARE NOT APPRECIATED!!SERIOUSLY PEOPLE!

The reason I put it up here, I put my Bel Air on KIJIJI and someone anonomously sent me this ad, and said "from one car guy to another, this guy might have what you want?"
I said in my ad, I may look at 55- 60 pontiacs for trade.

Thought I recognized the car from here...

That car really doesn't look "right" with those rims on it. I liked it better when you had it!

Hey Rog.  Did BJ really say he wasnt going to resell yr car?  Why do guys always do that? Its kinda like the guy who will never sell the car thats been parked in the driveway forever then the next time yr in the junkyard there it is. And you know he either got ZERO or maybe 50 for it.
