Hello from New Jersey

Hi,

My name is Bill and I am looking for a 58 Pontiac.. a Canadian one as it would fit well with my '60 and '62 Vauxhall Veloxes both of which were sold new by Pontiac dealers in Canada.

My dad had a '61 Vauxhall Velox, '63 Velox, and two '65 Vauxhall Cresta's in the old country.
Guess he liked them.
All were three on the tree except one of the Cresta's which was a hydramatic.
They were not a big seller in North America because they were too expensive.
The Chevy II and Acadian were cheaper and slightly larger.
Stripper - Velox compared to the Bel Air and Biscayne
Upmarket - Cresta compared to the Impala and Caprice.
Popular fleet cars in England.
Well priced 6 cylinder cars with up to date North American styling.
GM Dealers in Canada stuck with the 4 cylinder Vauxhall Victor/Envoy Special.
Later the smaller Vauxhall Viva/Envoy Epic was introduced in the mid '60s. All pretty good sellers.
