My car originally came with the rear mounted centre mount speaker U60 option. I purchased an OPG tray, and it has a grouping of small 1/2" holes for the speaker, and has black mesh on the expossed interior side that covers all of the tray.
Can someone tell me if this is correct for the Beaumonts? ...I have sum doubts?
I can provide a picture if requested.
Thanks guys!

The black mesh was used on cars with factory stereo speakers (dual speakers on rear shelf), but I think it was used on higher GM divisions like Oldsmobile & Buick. As far as I know you should just use the standard smooth rear shelf with the single rear speaker grille for the U80 rear speaker. I have seen an original 1967 Oshawa-built Malibu SS with a factory rear U80 speaker that was untouched except for paint; it had the smooth rear shelf with the single speaker grille. Beaumonts will be identical to the Canadian Chevelles in that regard.

A BIG thank you to all who provided me the photo's and info. I was a little suspect of what I received. I never had anything to go by, as (the old tray was 70's diamond checker pleated) YUK!!! I'll be returning it...and re-ordering the correct tray.
This site never ceases to amaze me as to the mass of knowledge fellow Pontiac owners have, and their willingness to help a brother out! Cheers!
(I wonder if the speaker grill is available aftermarket?)
