Hello! Newbie with a 70 GT-37 from Michigan

Newbie with a new to me,, a 70 GT-37 hardtop, wanted to stop by & say hello & join in. Having fun with this A body with a 68 428 & muncie m-21 4 spd. 373's & a 12 bolt, got it PHS docked & it came with the L-78 400 4 BBL. & m-21 4 spd. Palidumn silver, power discs. hood tach spt steering wheel, dealer here in northern Mich. still in biz. today. Still learning about this rare old car, any thoughts guys?. Thanks Gary

I used to go to Ann Arbour to watch the Wolverines play quite a bit when I used to live in Ontario.

 Ann Arbor is about 4 hrs south of me, i'm about 1 hr. south from the straights of big  mac bridge.

Welcome Gary!. Your 70 looks good. I also love the GTs & GT-37s. My neighbor used to have a really mint 1972 Lemans GT with the L-78 & factory Hurst shifted M20. It was built in Pontiac, MI and sold new in Toronto where it was soon put into storage for the winter (and every winter forever after).

 

I was visiting relatives in Michigan over the weekend near Almont, Troy, Livonia, Washington Twp. and Warren. One of the relatives is a real gearhead and used to have a 67 Firebird drag car (until he had 5 kids. Yup, that will do it...)

Thanks for all the kind welcomes! i will post pics. soon, right now i'm having issues with the muncie m-21 grinding going into 4th. gear & sometimes has no 4th gear at all. All is new in trans. along with the hurst shifter that has been adjusted several times, looks like it may be internal.

take the other linkages off and try shifting 3rd to 4th, to make sure its not binding with the others.
welcome from winnipeg, i'm kinda partial to the silver lemans look myself.
