Few questions for you-

Is it actually a 455 HO?

Do you have all the original trim/emblems etc for the car?

Condition of body and interior?

What transmission?

I only ask do you have any restoration pictures or pre- paint pictures. I would say under 7K otherwise. The more stuff done equals more money. Well, most of the time.

It looks good in the pictures. I hate putting a price on somebody elses baby. It's never as high as they would like. There's not a lot of 68's around. I should of said that it's worth what somebody will pay. Are you selling it? Is that why you asked. You can put in the for sale section but you would have to put a price on it.

If it's a 71 or 72 HO the engine alone is worth a few thousand dollars if it's got the original heads, intake etc.

Ok so then it doesn't have the round port heads. Still a good engine but not the same value as the 71-72.

I am thinking 65sssd is likely not too far off on his guess but it's a bit of a tough one to say for sure. Some guys would shy away since it's missing some original trim. However, it's not easy to find a solid 68.

A 68 is rare enough on it's own having so many one year only features. Since the Acadian is basically a re-badged Nova, documentation and Acadian badging is Important as these emblems are hard to come by and are not re-popped like Nova stuff. It's hard to tell from the photo's but it looks like your front fenders are wrong. The side lights look too long like the 70-71 years. Also, what does your hood emblem look like. The proper one can be a bear to find. Just my opinion, but I think the engine choice has brought the value down. But, that being said, it's not about me or others opinions. As long as your happy that's all that matters. I'm not partial to stock cars myself. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Welcome here 68427 Caprice!

You won't likely remember me but I checked your profile to get your name and I recognize it from about 20 years ago. You mailed me some pictures of your black car when you were looking for parts. I live south of Winnipeg.
