im trying to put the new spark plug wires on but with the differnt sizes i cant get them to look good/look right!! Is there a method you guys use?? Its for a 283 with rams horn manifolds.
If you go to the Acadian tech section I think somewhere I posted a picture of my 327 on the engine stand with the wires on. They use a ramhorn as well. The wires run between the motor mount and the block for the front 2 on each side. Special little tabs etc to hold them in place.

While Carl certainly did a fine job of running his plug wires most folks don't bother to take the time to run them correctly behind the engine mounts etc. Many people use plug wire replacements with straight plug boots so the wires could be run "up and over"

Thanks guys. I wanted it to look pretty original but I also did it that way because I like the factory routing. I think there is the least chance of a wire touching and arcing the way the factory routed it. I don't like the wires running over the manifolds. To me, it's just a matter of time before one touches.

i tried your way but the wires are just not long enough but the next wires i get will be the ones you cut yourself, that way i can run them how you did, i like it that way as well, looks great!
Mine were made up from bulk wire I had. I bought the correct ends and did them right from scratch. I think you can buy a kit with one end on and then cut them to length, crimp on the other end and "Bob's your uncle".

i use the term "bobs your uncle" as well and the wife looks at me weird, but of course shes english and i give her the same face when she says different sayings as well. Bulk wires will be the way to go next time.
