Very nice, the only thing I see wrong is the seats. The 300 Deluxe has white stripes on the front and rear seats.

Let me correct that- white stripes on black seats. Blue seats would have a darker blue stripe, the green seats that were in my 69 Beaumont Deluxe had a different shade of green. SO, to sum up, the 300 deluxe/Beaumont deluxe seats had stripes on them.wink

I really like it. It would be a real shame to remove the 300 Deluxe emblems and turn it into an SS396.

I saw one that looked very similar in Toronto (Jarvis / Isabella) back in 1987. That one was also a 300 Deluxe Sport Coupe in Glacier Blue, but it still had the original really nice original blue 300 interior! It also had a black vinyl roof cover, a new option for the 300 Deluxe in 1969. Powered by a 250 Powerglide, the only upgrades to the car were an aftermarket stereo and blackwall radials (still had the full wheelcovers on it).

Carl , the one that a friend of mine sold at the Atlantic Nats was a twin to this, but was a post, original paint color was Champagne. It was a 6 cyl car, but was done up with a date correct L72, TH400 and 12 bolt w/2:73's. I asked him to let me know when he was ready to sell, He called me at 10PM the night before he was leaving for Moncton. Anyway, he put a price of 25,900 on it and either got full price or around there. Probably had 40+ in it.

Yes...    thats what I'm thinking...  except the Post car will appraise for more (my opinion) even as a clone...    I thought this 300 deluxe, would be a nice cruiser with rally wheels and Flowmasters and some 350 emblems

I don't want to nitpick this guys car but I think it is important that people understand what is correct and not correct. People that advertise their cars as restored should point out the fact that they are not done right.

As Barry mentioned; the seats are not correct, the door panels are not correct, it should not have carpet on the floor it should have been rubber floor mat. It is difficult to see if it has the correct headliner but the visors are correct so the I'll give the car the benefit of the doubt. Because of the cost of restoring the interior correctly a lot of people go with the Malibu interior to save money.

It still looks like a decent solid car but a lot of money was spent restoring it incorrectly. Cars restored incorrectly falsely portray the value of a properly restored car.

I agree;  especially if you are buying a 50-60g car, such as yours..

On this 307 powerglide 15g car  its not as important (to me)  as getting a rust free car already painted with a new interior   The interior (even correct) would not add a lot to its value

I am not saying this isn't a fair price for this car. I am just trying to point out that when someone actually restores one properly they may find that they can't get what the car is really worth done correctly. This car might as well be a clone.
