1969 Pontiac Firebird Hard Top Calfornia car

I spotted this 1969 ugly green Firebird...   Looked really clean...   I checked it out and found a fully restored car with everything new..  He says. hes a Ford guy. and wants to move it to get a rag top...  Appraised at 33,500  hes at 24   The car is 55000 mile frame off California car rwith rebuilt motor trans rear etc   The car is as nice as Bills L79 and Brads SD and Chris's (Arcadian) black car..  He has all the air parts..  he wanted it lighter ??  but left the a/c rear gear in it?  It has resonators into chambered rear pipe instead of muffler  Has  hood tach (new and works)  It gorgeous   I left my card   and came home  He lives in Ingersol  He says it only takes 2 hours to tidy up the underneath.....  My thought are that its "too" nice  I would be so afraid of taking it out..   and the car is "only" a 350 auto A/C car   not a special model   amazing so much spent on a non performance model  I guess if it was a Ram Air 4 speed it would be a lot more $$  What about some chrome wheels? redlines? stripes  somthing to jazz it up???

I'm thinking 20   You get the 2bbl intake and carb and a/c box and origianal 14 inch wheels and all data  He has the original 1969 Califonia ownershio   I was going to drive it tomorrow..   Any suggestions?   I was also going to see the 66 396 SS column shift Impala

Are you coming to town tomorrow?? Pick me up first and I'll go with you to see it. I've seen it at the local cruise night but I didn't scrutinize it.

I guess the question you have to ask yourself... are you going to keep it for more than a week ?? LOL !@@!

that is a beautiful car...

add Redlines,, remove the Edelbrock sticker from the rad support..It don't belong on a car of this quality ..

insure the crap out of it and have a blast !

bring your Trans Am offer that car and cash

I'd say 20 is good, but why not try 10 and the TA even if you have to go 12 or stretch to 13 its better than putting out 20 and then selling yours

Listen Mr Rabbit    I have only had 1 car this year...so far     3 last year  ....  I do think you are right about taking off the sticker  and driving it    It is the nicest underbody I have seen    I would drive it and in the rain and not on gravel and not polish the underneath   buts its   green   disbelief

Good advice    he wants no trade and is stuck on 24     I might just contact him and let him come to me or not..... I'm trying to restrain my self   although I did buy a step side truck yesterday  lol

,The second owner of the TA e-mailed me and is coming to see it this week...     I sure like the quality of the rust free car (Firebird)   as I did and do on the Ventura II

Hes very nice   Hes looking for a Ford Rag top   I don't think offering him 20 when hes at 24 is a low ball   I'll pay 22 or 24  IF I decide I can live with Green   The car needs wheels or HO side stripe   Its a lot of money for a base car....  but the restoration would cost 40G these days

Why don't you and Todd go see it, and then tell me if I should buy it

I was shocked when he said that he removed all the A/C stuff and bought a reg heater box BECAUSE it was over 300 lbs and he like to move right along and then he said the car reved 2500 @ 80mph   so its got 2.56/2.73 gears?   strange

It's best if you come see it Carl. I can't decide for you. You have to admit it is a nice shade of green. It needs redlines for sure.. It's been for sale for about 3 months that I know of. A fellow I used to work with at Cami was all over it but I don't think he had any $$$

That car looks cool! I'd be tempted to leave it alone!! Although I'd have to learn how to drive an automatic trans.

Yes, it is definitely Verdoro Green.

My 2+2 was originally verdoro green, so I asked the seller if I could park the 2+2 beside his Firebird and take some pictures. I'm really curious how my car would look originally. Anyway, here's how they compare :
