Not sure if this is the best place to put this but I just found out this meet is happening this Saturday - ( usually it is one week later - I thought it was going to be on Oct 1 )
Note that I am not promoting this event and I am not able to attend but just thought I would put a heads up out there because as a general rule I like to see swap meets happen and for them to be supported
to be honest based on my past experience I am luke warm on this event
I went a couple years as a vendor and I quit that - it wasn't worth my gas cost plus the 10.00 I had to pay as a vendor - i didn't see other people selling a lot either
the last year I went (2008)I went just to look around and that was less work and better - got to wander around Freunds wreckers - he does have a bit of old stuff
I didn't go last year and didn't talk to anyone who did so maybe it was better
for those who have never heard of it it is absolutely nothing like the big swap meet we have in Winnipeg in May or the meets you have in Regina
At most in my experience it has had maybe 15 -20 vendors
the weather is supposed to be nice this weekend and Morden is a pretty town so if you want a nice outing you might like it - its about a 90 minute drive off the south perimeter from winnipeg
