my new 69 Beaumont ..home..

I drove the ol girl home yesterday, 380 km from Regina.  She hummed along at 70 Mph ,  ran like a champ  !

I was pretty lucky,  no issues other than having to stop and tighen the battery posts,, the radio kept flickering because of the poor connection.

The rear tires are weather checked real bad, I didn't think they were as bad as they are till I got  home...surprised that  I did not have a blow out !!

I played dress up today , here's the direction I hope to go ....

Excellent, thanks Roger. I may even contact him sooner and meet him for a coffee on the other side of the city from where we usually meet. He is west of Winnipeg and we meet east side, but it's neutral for me, same drive to either coffee shop.

Maybe a CP coffee night on the other side of town in the future!

I sure appreciate your help Roger.

It does drive nice....

my plans are too clean it up for now , give it my 2 cents, leave the power train alone ...

my daughter drove it today,, I presented myself with a problem LOL !! she likes it !

Let me know what parts you need. I am not using the wheels or the shocks, motor, trans, exhaust and I have a stripe kit.

Good luck with the project. It looks like an amazing start.

Its the making of a great project. I like your idea about the SD stripe. It sure makes a 69 pop. Was thinking of doing the same on my car in the future. If you do not use a stock V8 emblem you could still put 350 or  what ever instead of the 396.  Make it a what if car.

I played around today with the Slowmont.....  looks like with some rubbing I can get the paint to shine,  I'm going to see if I can get my paint buddy to mix a match for some touch up for now.

I had these Rally II's with tires mounted already , so I figured I might as well use them for now.  I had the PMD caps on the shelf for the last 7 years or so....

I'll take my lumps ..or thumbs up now !!!! I have personalized my Slowmont !IMG_0753.jpg

Thanks for the helping offer Brad !  Is your spare stripe white?

I was going to paint it on for now,  but once it had fresh paint,  I would prefer a stripe kit. I may need some measurements get it right ....

sucks that I had sold all the 69 parts I had, the bright work is pretty good , could use a nicer pair of tail light trim, everything else is 80 % or so.
