Disc brake kit/ drop spindle kit for my 66' Canso

I just committed to a kit from Rudy at Modern Performance Classics in California. Rudy has always been very knowledgeable on anything Nova. I purchased a disc brake kit that is used from an S10? with drop spindles and went with power brake booster.

After thinking about it even though it hasn't even arrived yet, I wonder if I made the right move? I currently use Rudy's shortened front springs and shocks on the front of my car and as you can see by the pic on my profile, it sits pretty low. I just felt the drop spindles were the way to do this right, now I'm starting to wonder???

I read on the net that the S10 disc brake conversions were not the way to go....

I wonder if the power brake booster setup for the car will effect things since I do plan on using a fairly stout camshaft???

Rudy did try and set me up with the standard disc brake conversion kit and I opted to go this way.... I'm thinking of asking Rudy if I can return the stuff and get the other kit with manual brakes....

Thoughts??????

I installed a set from a 1970 chevelle and just used the nova spindle. I chose not to use the  power booster on my 66 Nova SS and the system works great.  Not quite as low as yours but does sit a little low in the front.  My springs are original.

If you are willing (in a new thread here so we don't totally derail the topic here) I'd love to see more pictures of it. Red interiors are sooooo cool....

The idea was that I was thinking of using the orginal springs & shocks and would end up with maybe a little lower than what I have now. I didn't plan on using the drop spindles and the shortened springs/shocks.

I was under the impression that the correct way to keep the geometry,etc... was to use the drop spindles as opposed to what I'm doing now... The concern I have is that I didn't hear good thing's about the S10 disc brake/drop spindle kits.

Hydrolic assist brake kit...not cheap but you get the idea. There's lots more companies that make brake assist stuff.
