I had one like that , bought for $500 after someone hit someone else and bent front bumper and fender.
road like a tank compared to mine, no under felt under carpet etc so road noise was very loud ..  sold at swap meet for $4000 after rust repair and new paint.

should call mine a Cabriolet, makes it sound fancy !!

 Well that has not been my experience.  In the 7 years I've owned my 63 SD, I haven't found anyone that would pay more for my car than a 66/67 in the same condition. I bought my car in Montreal and I think the prices are a little higher in that area.  I could buy this price as an insured value but I think it is about 5k over the market, at least in the U.S.

The one thing giving this car an edge is the top goes down and they don't on 66/67 models.

 Sorry Norm, I was just pulling Carl's chain.  You are as familiar as anyone with his latest purchase so it was just an opportunity to get a little jab in at him.  I didn't know whether other people would pick up on it or not.  66 and 67s in my opinion command much better dollars but it doesn't make any difference to me.

hope he gets his price, had mine appraised for $35000 this summer.
Saw a Nova SS convert for $15000 this year and it took a couple of months for him to get his price..

It took me a long time to understand, that appraised values, were for mainly insurance purposes e.g.  tree fell on vehicle..  and often did not reflect market prices   

My house is insured for 370,000 for total loss, but is worth 200,000 (maybe) on the market....

the fender skirts make me want to go out and dig in the stuff i have in my shed, i know i had a set at one time.
were they ever a factory option ??
