Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to all of the members.
The other day I picked up these 3 license plate frames and was wondering if anyone can direct me to a site where I might find more information about them. I have looked and have had no luck.
Can't help with the FLA ones but the HMCS Stadacona is the old name (still used today). For the Naval Training center in Halifax. In the days of the RCN all shore units of the RCN were pre fixed with HMCS (Her Majesty's Canadian (Ship/Station). The Stadacona unit of CFB Halifax still exists today as the Navy center of Training/Administration and Hospital. The left side should have the Base symbol with a bird in the center (Kingfisher) with "Warden of the North Atlantic and I believe the right should be the Command Crest for the head of the Navy or what is now known as Maritime Comand. In the 60's and 70's all of the "big 3" had dealerships within 2 - 3 blocks of the base to attract saliors.
There are still plastic versions of these made today for sale at various Canex oulets throughout the country.
