Some Acadian pics

I had these Acadian pictures in my collection, thought I would share them.

Quite a few years ago I had a website "Better than Nova!" which featured a lot of information on Acadians and people would send me pictures either by email or by post. Maybe some of our members know a little more about some of these cars.

First up, a '66 Canso SD which was once owned by Graham Darrell of Victoria.

This '67 Canso with SD trim was residing in the Virginia area when I recieved these pictures. I believe it has been sold but I was told it made the gold class in the big Pontiac shows it entered.

This car was from the Victoria area but it was sold shortly after I recieved these pictures.

The yellow Canso was actually a '67 with '66 Canso front grille and trunk plated. If I remember correctly, the owner was a fellow named Ray from San Bernandino, California.

The blue invader was from Manitoba, Winnipeg if I remember right......

Calgary area members may have seen Wayne's '66 Canso SD. A very nice ride and when I viewed it in person my father (who was not a car guy), said that car had the nicest paint he had ever seen!

The red '67 SD was owned by Dave from Surrey. It had a factory 327-275hp and a 4spd (not sure about the 4spd....).

Tony from Illinois sent me pictures of the '67 Canso which he bought from the Calgary area. The '62 beaumont convertible project was also his.

I saw this '67 Invader wagon in the Buy and Sell and told Tony about it. He was on his way to Seattle to buy a ChevyII and took the ferry to Victoria to check out this car while he was here. He bought the car and Tony drove it home to Illinois keeping just ahead of a snowstorm that was moving across the states behind him! It was a factory 283 car and had the very rare factory bench seat headrest option.

Tony also owned this '67 ChevyII wagon which you guys may find interesting. It was a special order U.S. Postal service vehicle and it is the only survivor of the 2 they ordered with RHD! Note the dash is from the first generation ChevyII. I think Tony told me this car was built in Canada.

The picture quality isn't good compared to what we get now. The car is actually Lemonwood yellow......  :)

I believe this car did well in some car shows, might have even won!

It was up for sale last year but I don't know what happened to it.

Dan

I believe this is the car that I posted last year when it was for sale at $27,000. It finally sold for $20,000 I think. It was very nice and I wish that I had picked it up!

Haha, just checking if you're paying attention! I love the fact that we all prefer different colours.
