66 Grande Guy feedback

Its no big deal.  It was actually easier than trying to find something out of cardboard that would work.

But thanks for the cudo's.

I can't contain myself!!! Ken has outdone himself this time! We made a trade involving 66 Grande Parisienne parts. I ended up with the tinted quarter windows I was looking for.  He shipped it Greyhound.  Have you ever seen anyone do such an incredible job ensuring two pieces of glass would make it safely across the prairies???biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Thanks very much Ken, VERY impressive.

I'm pretty sure a small car could have driven over this crate without breaking them!

Just a couple hinges and a hasp and you've got a nice briefcase for work! Great packing job!

Just as an aside; I hate when you buy something off of say, eBay, and you stress to the seller to package it well (offering to pay extra shipping), because Canada Post uses your parcel as a football. The parcel arrives and it's in the skimpiest packaging, no fragile warnings, crinkled and bent ... your gut just churns! cry

I just didn't want to get Carl mad at me.  If he gets a bonus briefcase out of it so much the bettter but he'd have to be even more of a hillbilly than I am to carry it in public. (heh, heh)

I'd love to but that would be an insult to it's real market value. It's quite the work of art. I am thinking I will use it the next time I have to ship a valuable fragile piece to another CP'er. Ken may have started something similar to the banner when he built this thing!

The carpet inside is a added bonus too Carl. My wife took it to Fed-Ex and tried to help the little girl working there to lift it. She took it by herself and pulled her shoulder muscle but told my wife it was ok. I get great service at fed-ex calgary north. I hope the trans is good in your new project.

I had it sitting at the end of the carport on the cart   The dog started barking and I went up stairs and box was gone   75.80 to ship to N.B.

I will have Peter check it over, and I will buy a car to fit it..  Theres a BB 69 A-body in Moncton from Arizona   Peter and Ian have 69's and the trans (by VIN) is out of a Chevelle

Probably the reason it looks so artistic is that I hate measuring.  Go for it Carl, just keep adding layers for new addresses!

Just finished yet another flawless parts deal with Ken. Same old thing, payment as promised and of course a little bit extra thrown in. Just like dealing with pretty much everyone else on this site!

Thanks Ken.

You have that wrong Elroy. The wise men headed east! The wise men were from the west (yeah, yeah, I know....) Manitoba is still considered west though!

"Now Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews'? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy."Matthew 2:1-2, 9-10.

I figured I might as well help you with your car Elroy because all the good cars are in the west anyway! (at least, so I read on here...)

I came, I saw, I had coffee, read the book, watched the movie, now I'm back in the promised land Darryl! Oh yeah, and I bought the shirt too, just before we got on the bridge to leave...
