Rally Wheel Caps

IMG_2429.JPGIMG_2430.JPGWould these be correct for 69 Acadian w/rally wheels? These are original plain derby caps.

Wow, now that is a good question. Full size had small caps on the rallys but not sure.

I am off to the parts book.

I think that the original part # might have been 3925802 which was superceded to 3925801 (chevrolet) sometime in the late 60's.

Yes, according to the parts book that would be correct.

So I guess Acadian only had small caps in 67.

These are not factory for Acadian Super Sport, correct?

Regular Acadian with rally wheels as I remember.

Thanks

Randy

I think Super Sport had the Magnum 500 wheel, right?

From what the parts book says, there was no SS rally wheel for 68. The only rally listed for 68 just says "with disc brakes" but makes no mention of SS. Interesting.

Just took a look at my 1971 Acadian brochure. Mentions that SS equipped Acadians come with 7" wide wheels . The SS in the illustration has Spoke wheel covers w/crossed flags!

The parts book lists Acadian SS rally wheels for 69 up, but nothing for 68 for some reason.

I seen these on a 70 2+2 wasn't sure if there were correct as I was sure the small ones would be on it-aftermarket makes them with no logo also

Right, 1967 and 1968 used the disc brake, or Corvette style wheel, sometimes with a full wheel cover, on any car when disc brakes were specefied.

As I remember the SS (Magnum 500) wheel came out for model year 1969 on Acadian & Chevelle type cars & Acadian & Nova used them until 1971 but Chevelle stoped using them after 1970.

Camaros used the Corvette style until 1969 then used the same style as the 1971 Chevelles.

Thanks

Randy

Since the plain cantre on the "derby" ,will not interchange with     the plain centre on the "flat cap"   then this has to be  Acadian    The flat caps were only on 1970 2&2    correct me if I'm wrong

I'm sure this has to be correct Carl. Never paid much attention to these details when these cars were newer!
