Buying a car from the US can be a big Nightmare, unless you know what you are doing.Can be major Customs and registration problems.

 He had the clear title and it was in his name. Both tags on the car and never removed. I have brought a number of them across, this one would have been a peice of cake. I would agree with you that if you never have brought one in and don`t line your ducks up in a row you can get into trouble

the part I did not like was what they told me on the US side. I stopped in after leaving the paper work for 72 hours to check to see if car was clear to export. The 2 young officers told me I would find that out when I brought the car to them. They said if its stolen, me and the car were not going any where. I said if there was a problem with it why would I bring it across and I thought this is why I left my number to be contacted if there was a problem. They told me it was up to me to figure that out before I came there. furious
