Le Monstre'        Spent a few miles cruising in these slugs. What an awesome ride, legroom like no other car! If you can feed that 455, go for it!

My Dad had a 70 Olds 2 htp. that same colour & same d/line with Olds 455 He could "squeeze' 20+ MPG out of that car with no problem on the Hwy. For some "unknown" reason, I could barely get 10 MPG when I drove it!!!

I've swung 6 so far wink. I just took "my sons" Fleetwood out for an errand, everybody else went out and left it. I threw a nice set of snows on it this year. Man piloting that baby around in the snow is a pleasure with the big meats out back. I know....most guys think I'm nuts for using a 20 year old Cadillac survivor in the snow smile  You can't expect me to drive my cherry DTS in the winter.

If you are into those land yachts, that is a really nice one. After speaking with a 69 Buick Electra convertible owner I have heard that potentially you could get surprising MPG out of a 430, but the 455 was impossible to get MPG out of.
