New look on my Canso

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd pass these pics on and ask for some help on a few topics.

I had been asking since October on this forum about drop spindles, rims, etc... I just rolled my Canso out of my shop today to look at how it turned out.

I went with the CPP disc brake kit with 2" drop spindles, dropped it alot. I went with Team 3 Wheels Classic V rims.

15x6 front rims with 4" backspace / BFG 195/60R15 radial T/A's

15x7 rear rims with 4.5" backspace / BFG 235/60R15 Drag T/A's

My questions are:

#1 It looks like I'll have a problem with turning sharp and going over bumps will hit the Fender lip badly, I went with 4" backspace, I don't think I can get more backspace, any ideas how I might fix this without lifting it, I like the low look.

#2 I want to drop the rear a bit, I have Caltracs on this car and with no preload on the bars I can get it to sit as low as you see it, as I preload the bars the car's rear raises. I was thinking about lowering blocks or dearching the springs, I plan on drag racing a bit and I've read tha the blocks aren't a good idea for that, any ideas here?

Thanks for any feedback

WOW!!!!
they look sharp.. but... I think without doing some serious mods to your inner fender well. like Tubbing it, but on the front.. or jackin' it up 3"..
or.. steering stops.. but then you have a HUGE turning rad..

Well that wasn't my goal and I spent alot of time trying to determine sizing etc,... that's why I threw these questions out there to see if there was any good answers.

The wheels look great on the Canso; I'm having a hard time finding 14" TA'S.

Hey guy I think you need to lower the rear suspension to level off out the car. That might help you..

Update here is that I'm replacing the old original front springs with CPP original height springs which will hopefully raise it an inch or so and then doing a front end alignment. Hope to clear up some of this issue with that.

On the rear part of the car, I think I'll either get the leafs dearched or buy a new set of CalTrac split mono leafs as you can order them with lower than factory sizing, example 1 or 2" lower.
