Heater box blower cover

I'd like to remove the heater box blower cover because it was painted the same colour as the car, and restore it back to satin black.

Can this be accomplished without removing the passenger fender?

The Beaumont firewall should be body colour and the heater box that semi gloss I think. Correct me if I'm wrong because I was once!

Yes,  but you have to remove the inner fender liner.  Then you can access everything, motor, box, etc.

If you can reach in there and have very small hands you might be able to but not without wounds ....  If you take off the wheel and remove the inner fender and slip it out there will be alot of room for you and in the long run alot easier..  I think the firewall on those are a semi flat black right? Are you using a rattle can to paint it ?
