1969 pontiac Grand Prix

Thanks for the update Carl, I talked to him on the phone as well tonight. like you said, very nice guy. He told me he wants about a grand ... Car's been there 30 years + it will probably end up going to the crusher for the most part.

Carl, did you go look at this GP ? I wouldn't mind having the 400 out of it ... Probably seized ???

Just went to see it.

He won't crush it. I'm the only one who looked but he's had some crazy offers, both lowball and silly high prices as well. Really really nice guy to talk to.

The car filled up about 1/2 way in the 97 flood so a lot of the stuff will be junk. 400/TH400. I imagine the block is junk, it's seized and has no rad. That means the flood water went in to the engine so it will be cracked now. Diff will be full of flood water. Disc brakes are only showing the top 1/2. Buckets, power windows, AM/FM but all been in the water. You can see the water line on the dash and interior door panels. No tilt, no cruise, no power trunk. Chrome valve covers but they are dented. 1 Rally II rim. No rear sway bar. BOP style 10 bolt, no posi decal in the trunk, diff is sunk in the dirt so can't look for posi tags.

I made him an offer for based on the couple of pieces I think I could salvage out of it but he says he had some other offers, told me how much they were and I certainly can't match them! However, they have not seen the car yet either...

Yeah, it would have been a more reasonable price but someone offered $700 (on the phone) and then someone else upped it to $1000 (also via phone).

Nobody has looked at it but me.

The body on this one has NO useable sheet metal at all. It's hit in the front, sideswiped passenger side. It was a write off about 30 years ago and was purchased at a the salvage auction. Your's looks much nicer.
