Got Wood?

The reason the Parisienne is for sale.  I've been watching for a late 80's, B-body wagon for sometime.  Wanted a Parisienne or Caprice but found this Buick.  Couldn't resist... it had wood grain!

That is really nice. You know when that was new that was a very expensive car and only the well healed executives with a Muskoka cottage and big income would have been buying that.  My father in Law had an '78 Electra Park Avenue, bought at Hogan's on the Danforth in Toronto in late 1978 , and when I was 20 I felt like King of the World driving it. Good Luck with it.

Nice! Where did you find it? It looks like she has low mileage.

You have to change your signature now to "it's gotta have wood".

Here is the wood i got. A 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Estate wagon, just over 48,000 miles, 400 V-8 four barrel, loaded and my dad bought it new in May 1974. My dad left it to me when he passed away in July 1993. I show it in his memory and put about 200 to 300 miles a year on it. I have done all the usual wear items and detailed the engine bay in 1994. She is a complete joy to drive except for the bad gas milage. I love this sweet vehicle and it will ALWAYS remain in our family. Cheers. George.

Thanks for the complements. It was a local find and the owner had bought it in 1991. It has the Oldsmobile 307 with a 4bbl and only 200k. It has always been garaged and stored indoors. Original paint. It rides sooo smooth.

When  met my wife , she had never picked up a wrench, attended a car show or cruise night or dated anyone into cars.....and then she met me....

what I found out is that we both have a strong deep affliction for wagons. She and I both love them. If she saw your wagon, shed offer her CRV for it!

Nice....LOOOOOVE it. Nice and congrats

Love wagons, had quite a few as company cars (my choice Buicks). My favorite to this day is the 72 Olds Vista cruiser with a 455 engine.
