Wow very neat Todd from seeing James Deans name on the movie theatre to seeing the Pontiac dealer , man has the world changed or what! Almost every man was wearing a suit and the ladies dressed all up. What a different world we now live in!
I was down Hollywood Blvd in 2009 and I tell you I did not want to get out of my rental car. It was so dirty and so many shady looking dudes staring at me , there was a sex shop every 5 th store. It looked nothing like on TV! I felt safer walking in Barbados at night on my own then walking the Holywood strip

It would be neat if someone did the same trip today and run a split screen view to compare.

I don't remember shinny cars from when I was a boy, my memory is of dull paint and splash marks around the wheel wells.

It was cool seeing the old "A.E.ENGLAND PONTIAC" (opened August 1946)Dealership on one of the left hand turns.

I had to dig this up from the C.P. vaults. I felt like i was in a time warp and i would love to be back then, not now. Todd, thanks for sharing that amazing history. Cheers.
