New Poncho, need some help!

So I have joined the ranks of Poncho owners.  I found a very straight and clean "67 Bonneville with origional drive train.  Even got some history of the 2 owner beauty.  So I am hoping for some help decoding what exactly I have.  I was told its a 428 car, runs pretty darn good other than the rear main seal leaking a bit.  Already have a viton 2 piece replacement enroute.

Some pics of the pick up. :D

It needs some work, but the metal is nearly flawless except for a nickle sized spot on the p-side upper rear quarter and the dent visible in the drivers door. I'm pretty stoked, it has gobs of torque and some respectable street manners.

My biggest concerns are upgrading suspension and 4 corner disk brakes, probably an overdrive, fuel injection, and some cleaning of the interior so can cruise for the summer. :D

Both still require a lot of work.

Thanks for the decoding.  Its not origional paint but at least the color is origional, as far as I can tell.

You are probably right.  I want to make a classic into a power cruiser that can drive coast to coast with modern reliability.  I have no aspirations of low E.T's or turning road courses as there are so many better choices, its not going to be flashy or wild looking,  Just a sleepy ride that I can take on a weekend road trip with the lil' lady.

I got so lucky that the body was pristine I am going to put the budget towards performance and reliabilty. :D
